The Worldometers site takes mind-numbing statistics and gives them a real sense of urgency by updating them in real-time. For example, you can watch the world population grow right before your eyes and you can witness the remaining supply of oil in the world disappear one barrell at a time. Below are some static screen grabs of statistics related to the content of this blog:
Wow! That is amazing...I think people just don't believe it. What struck me immediately was the lack of balance is so clearly highlighted when you compare the undernourished to the overweight and obese, as well as the amount of money being spent on said overweight and obese...imagine if that money were being thrown into solar energy research. It boggles the mind.

That's great, it starts with an earthquake, birds and
snakes, an aeroplane and Lenny Bruce is not afraid.
Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn - world
serves its own needs, dummy serve your own needs. Feed
it off an aux speak, grunt, no, strength, the Ladder
start to clatter with fear fight down height. Wire
in a fire, representing seven games, and a government
for hire at a combat site. Left of west and coming in
a hurry with the furys breathing down your neck. Team
by team reporters baffled, trumped, tethered cropped.
Look at that low playing. Fine, then. Uh oh,
overflow, population, common food, but it'll do to Save
yourself, serve yourself. World serves its own needs,
listen to your heart bleed dummy with the rapture and
the revered and the right, right. You vitriolic,
patriotic, slam, fight, bright light, feeling pretty
psyched.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it.
It's the end of the world as we know it and I feel fine.

Wow, I converted the days to years - that's 42 years till the end of oil. It's amazing how fast we can blow through what took millions of years to accumulate.
